The company was formed through the merger of Ontotext (Bulgaria) and Semantic Web Company (Austria), a transaction completed in Q1 2025. This strategic combination brings together two highly complementary pioneers in semantic technology and knowledge graph solutions, creating a leading platform in the enterprise knowledge management and AI enablement space.

Ontotext, one of the predecessor entities, received growth funding in 2022 from a consortium of international investors led by Integral, following a carve-out from its previous corporate parent, Sirma Group.

Today, Graphwise’s integrated product suite provides advanced knowledge management, graph database, and semantic AI solutions, connecting disparate data sources to improve data accuracy, interoperability, and transparency, thereby strengthening confidence in AI-driven decision-making across industries.
